Postcards from Exploring WorkLife: The Space Between the Doing

Hello from Galata Café, Regent’s Canal Towpath.

This is one of my favourite stops along the canal — a coffee, a view, and time to walk, stop, look and think.

The best work I do doesn’t always happen at the laptop. It happens here too — in the space between the doing, when I’ve walked and stopped and let my mind go where it wants.

These moments of solitude and reflection are a practice I protect — a habit and a boundary both.

And today, they’ve got me exploring the moments and days I want my WorkLife to hold.

One I already know: the cafés of Europe. Walking, stopping, thinking — a new view with every coffee.

Now I’m exploring how to build a WorkLife that holds it.
